Chisamba Town Council has successfully handed over the newly procured Tipper Truck which was acquired under the 2024 CDF fund at the cost of K1,724.580.00.
This new heavy equipment will significantly improve the Local Authority’s capacity to provide essential services such as road maintenance works.
The colourful event was graced by the area Member of Parliament Hon. Chushi Kasanda,MP. The Law Maker commended the Council and the community for ensuring the delivery of this important resource was succcessful. She emphasized the importance of community involvement oversight urging the community to actively monitor the use of the Tipper and observe the progress of the works it will support.
The event was attended by several stakeholders who included the District Commissioner Mr. Joel Mboyoma,the CDFC Chairperson Ms. Titamenji Palale,the Vice Council Chairperson Cllr. Obvious Simuunza,the Council Secretary Mr. chamuka Muwamba, the Area Councillor Cllr. Micheal Lungu and Heads of Departments .
Later, the Member of Parliament conducted an onspot inspection of various township roads in Chisamba Ward in the company of Local Authorities representatives and Council Engineers to assess roads earmarked for improvement this year. The planned scope of work includes,grading, spot graveling,and drainage construction.
